2013 The best moments in my Water ski career:
+35 European Water Ski Championships in Sesena Spain 29 August to 1 September 2013
I have taken part on tournament +35 Europe and African Championships 2013 in a category senior 1 in a slalom and tricks, unfortunately because a knee injury I did not participate in jumping.
I have grabbed silver medal in a slalom with result 4.25/55/10.75 and won the first place in tricks with result of 8140 points, so it is my 10th gold medal in +35 European Championships.
Venue for the Europe and African Championships 2013 for senior skiers (age 35 years and older) was the town of Sesena. Sesena lies just south of Spain's capital Madrid. A part of Sesena lies on the high, elevated plane of Madrid. The other part lies a hundred meters or so lower in the valley of the river Rio Jamara, which south of Sesena is renamed to the better known river Tago. It is in the volley where the the Botas family own and operate their ski school Sesena Waterski & Wakeboard Complex". The school has No top qualify man made ski lakes, which according to some competitor skiers similar. One lake was reserved for the competition, whereas the other lake could be used by anyone, whether it be skiers not participating in the E&A, or competitors who feel the need additional time on the water.
It's always nice for seniors to participate at an E&A 35+ competition.
An E&A is an opportunity to compete with skiers in the same age category at a high level. But an E&A is also a nice opportunity to meet international ski friends and getting an update on what s going on in the water skis world. A total of 94 competitors from 20 countries appeared on the starting dock. Especially in slalom the numbers of skiers were impressive: 20 in the 35+ and 31 (!) in
Ricardas Lazinskas won the prestigious gold medal in jump 35+ for Lithuania With 54.6 meters he beat Andreas Leonhardt who was placed first after the preliminaries.
In men slalom 35+ a new kid on the block, the French skier Geoffrey Lavoue surprised everybody, except for sure his team mates who will have known his strength. In the preliminaries he skied 1@10.25m, thereby passing the United Kindom’s Jeremy Newby-Ricci who did 4@10:75m. In the finals Jeremy won by skiing 2@10.25m. Geoffroy did well with 4@10:75m but Genadi Guaralia grabbed silver by skiing a quarter buoy more.
French top skier Philippe Draux saw his chances for a medal evaporate at the 13 meter line, competition in men slalom 35+ was strong with the top five scoring in 10.75m or better.
Itolion Merlo Fabrizio reigned in the men slalom 45+ category. With a score of 1@10.25m he beat Englishman Mike Hornagold Junior, who equaled twice his personal best... And once again Austrian Frank Schulze snatched a medal in slalom, this time leaving UK'S Timothy Hazelwood empty handed.

9th Trofeo San Gervasio B.no San Gervasio Bresciano ITALY - 24/25 Aug 2013
In seniors me, Guralia Genadi came out on top, winning over 35 with a new Georgian National slalom record 1.25/55/10.25
The final season event at the San Gervasio Waterski school were two beautiful days of competition in a relaxed otmosphere. The athletes come from ati over Europe, rendering the three Slalom heats fiercely contested and exhilaration. In the Open all the attention went to the British Glen Campbell, who won the competition with 5.00/58/10.75, with Maneo lanni arriving second with the same result and Luca Spinelli, who came third with 4.50/58/10.75, came extremely close to the unexpected result.
With this excellent performance Luca improved upon his personal best in competition, particularly in the first heat where we saw him ski very well and we were all convinced that he would close the 10.75. We are certain that his first 10.25 will come very soon.

3rd Jolly Spin Contest San Polo (Brescia) ITALY - 3 Aug 2013
3rd San Gervasio Flip Contest San Gervasio B.no ITALY - 4 Aug 2013
For yet another year the by now traditional two days of figure competition put on a fantastic display for the crowds. There were a great number of entrants in all cotegories, including athletes all over Europe.
Two separate competitions took place during the event, the first on Saturday at the Jolly Ski School San Polo (Brescia), while the second was held at Water Ski San Gervasio.
On the first day of competition Gianmarco Pajni quickly stood out by clocking in 10130 points in the second heat, a result that gives us great hope for the Under 17 European Championships at the end of the month After a somewhat lacklustre performance in the first two heats of the Open Ladies competition Clementine Lucine exploded into the third with 9040 points and went homewiti victory ahead of Giannina Bonneman and Cristina"
Fourth place went to the hosting club with Maria Luisa Pajni coming in with 6120 points.
In the Open Men's competition the first heat was fiercely fought, with the first three positions going to Ballon and Poteau for the French and our own Nicholas BenaUi with all three finishing with 9780 points, quite a rarity in the tricks event.
The three champions slogged it out until the final heat where Pierre Ballon came out on top with 11340, Nicholas Benatti with 10820 and Alexandre Poteau with 10640 points.
The second day of competition went much the same way. In the Open Ladies the classifications were a photocopy of Saturdoy's event/with Lucine managing to improve her results with 9140 points.
In the Open Men's the French improved, with Pierre Ballon winning with an outstanding 11820 points, Poteau coming in second with 11120 and Benatti arriving with 10570.
Also worth noting was the great performance of Genadi Guralia who took out fourth place with 8940 points. Not bad for Senior.
